Bayside Capital Gives a Glimpse of the Future Boardwalk

Bayside Capital presented three architect's sketches to the South Padre Island Board of Aldermen February 2008.

Lance Mullins, of Bayside Capital LLC, presented three architect’s sketches to the South Padre Island Board of Aldermen Wednesday night that depict his plans for the bayside boardwalk development on South Padre Island.

“Please understand these sketches are very preliminary,” he said.

“I just wanted to give you an idea of what the bayside area can look like. This is what I want to build, what I hope to do with this stretch of bayside.”

Bayside Capital owns all the property for the development except for one small lot, the price of which is still being negotiated, he said.

The presentation made an impact as Mullins’ sketches were presented to the aldermen and the audience on large flat screen monitors.

Although no action was taken after the presentation, aldermen seemed to agree the development promises to be a great asset among the Island’s amenities.
